NewsTreemap is based on the concept of treemap. The news from major newspapers, taken from Google News service, are shown in rectangles with different colors (categories), and size (importance of the news). The color of the rectangle indicates the category (politics, economy, sports, etc.) while the size indicates the importance of the news as the number of articles on the news published in various newspapers.
Finally, the brilliance of the color indicates the age of the news: as the base color of the relevant category, the darker the color is old news.
